We will bring the food, the option of wine and cocktails, and by the end of the night everything will be gone. No trash, No dishes, No mess, No exhaustion after the guests leave. Dakota's gourmet at home is a full family run business, allowing the experience to be just that much more personable. What we can do for you
After 24 years of owning Gabriel's restaurant, Covid-19 hit. During Covid our family got a puppy (Dakota). Dakota allowed us to realize how important time at home and with the family was. Watching Dakota grow quickly, it sparked our rapid hope for change. Gabriel's restaurant kept us busy during Christmas, we would be working 90 hour weeks and realized we needed a way to work in the restaurant business from our own home with only our family. After 27 years of being a staple within the Mississauga community, Gabriel’s restaurant was demolished. This devastating event made all our loyal customers overwhelmed with sadness. Even with hundreds wanting us to re-open elsewhere we knew this was our chance to start our dream with an at home dining experience. ‘Dakotas Gourmet at Home’ allows us to bring food from our home to yours - it allows us to personally serve you and your beloved guest, where the memories are most important.

Our Story
Bill graduated from Humber college in 1990 to start his career in Naples florida. During his time in Florida he worked at The ‘Ritz Carlton’ and was a sous chef at ‘Annabelles’. After returning to Canada in 1994 he became head chef at ‘Tereza’ restaurant. After gaining years of experience Bill opened ‘Gabriles’ in 1996 with his wife Tracy, proudly owning the business for 27 years. Gabriels was always a very family based business with Bill full time working with his wife and his daughter Kaitlin. The restaurant allowed Bill to realize how much he loved cooking but always wanted it to be a more personal and individualized experience leading them toward the idea of ‘Dakotas Gourmet at Home’.
